You first begin with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. Witness the dramatic change of scenery as you proceed north toward Langtang. Syabrubesi is the starting point of your trip, from where you hike to your first destination; Lama Hotel. The trail follows a path beside the Bhote Koshi and Langtang Khola. Bamboo and rhododendron trees decorate the surroundings while the sounds of the gushing waterfall accompany you from afar. If you are lucky, you might spot a red panda chewing on bamboo shoots among these woods. From Lama Hotel, you trek through the Langtang village to reach Mundu. The altitude level rises gradually as the mountains on the horizon start getting nearer with each step.

You come across settlements of the Tamang communities conducting their everyday chores and their Yaks grazing in the grasslands. Your next destination is Kyanjin Gompa, which offers a picturesque valley and scenic sights. You spend an additional day in this valley to acclimatize. You will hike up to the Tserko Ri located at 5,000 meters of altitude. This is the highest point of the trek.
